Júnior Favacho proposes the creation of a Working Group to monitor the construction of a Supply Center – News of Brazil

When resuming the work of the Agriculture and Supply Commission (CAB) of the Legislative Assembly of Amapá (Alap), this Monday (19), state deputy Júnior Favacho (MDB), who chairs the commission, defended the installation of a Group of Work (GT) to monitor the execution of agreement 955511/23, signed between the Government of Amapá (GEA) and the Ministry of Integration and Regional Development, which aims to enable the construction of a Supply Center (Ceasa) in the state.
Júnior Favacho presented a request to Alap proposing the creation of the GT. According to him, the main objective is to monitor and consolidate information regarding the financial and physical execution of the agreement’s work program, which provides for the transfer of resources in the amount of R$47,841,475 for the construction of Ceasa. The group will also be responsible for monitoring the progress of the works and promoting technical visits to other states of the federation to learn about similar projects throughout the country.
“Ceasa has been on the CAB agenda since last year, and we propose the creation of this working group so that there is speed and transparency in the execution of this agreement. A Supply Center in Amapá will benefit approximately 32 thousand rural producers in Amapá, in addition to serving the general population that does not have adequate space to purchase agricultural products. It is an action that will directly contribute to the development of agribusiness in Amapá”, said the deputy.
According to the request presented by Júnior Favacho, the Working Group will be composed of a member of the Alap Agriculture and Supply Commission, representatives of the State Secretariat for Rural Development (SDR) and the State Secretariat for Infrastructure.

At the first meeting of the CAB this year, Júnior Favacho already defined what the commission should focus on throughout 2024. “The CAB has been working tirelessly to unlock the issues of environmental licensing and land regularization for rural producers. This is the key point for us to promote a key turnaround in the agricultural development of Amapá”.
For the parliamentarian, these two points will provide legal security for rural producers, and will guarantee that both small, medium and large producers can access lines of credit and financing that help to promote production and generate employment and income for the Amapá population.
This Monday’s CAB meeting also swore in deputy Lorran Barreto as the new vice-president of the Commission. In addition to him and Júnior Favacho, the group includes deputies Rodolfo Vale (PCdoB), Jesus Pontes (PDT), Dayse Marques (Solidariedade), Zeneide Costa (Podemos) and Liliane Abreu (PV).
