Young people from Ferreira Gomes will have access to professional courses thanks to the parliamentary amendment worth more than half a million reais from the state deputy Junior Favacho (MDB). The State Secretariat for Labor and Entrepreneurship (Seven) You have already committed the resources and hired the company that will run the courses.

The objective of the amendment is to provide courses that meet the needs of the local job market, combating unemployment, a significant problem in the state. “We are fulfilling a campaign promise by allocating a mandatory amendment to train our young people, aiming for their insertion into the job market. With around 70 thousand unemployed in Amapá, it is essential to create public policies to solve this problem. The resources for Ferreira Gomes are an important step in this direction”declared Junior Favacho.

The deputy believes that the courses will reduce the migration of young people in search of work to other municipalities in Amapá. “Many young people leave Ferreira Gomes due to lack of jobs. Our intention is to offer opportunities so that they can, if they wish, remain in their hometown, close to their families and friends, contributing to the local economy”he added.

The program will include 20 courses in the areas of civil construction, agribusiness, transport, food, hospitality, IT, services, crafts, aesthetics, environment and health. Each course will offer 15 places, benefiting a total of 300 people. Registration should begin in December, with classes scheduled for the second half of January.

The courses aim to include these young people in energy projects in the region, such as the Cachoeira Caldeirão, Ferreira Gomes Energia and Coaracy Nunes hydroelectric plants.

The amendment was an initiative by councilors Valdo Isacksson, Arlei Isacksson, Jaci Brazao and João Mendes, from Ferreira Gomes, proposed to the deputy on October 20 last year. Originally, the request was to carry out the “Environmental Young Agent Program”, but with the massive support of Júnior Favacho, it was expanded to cover more areas.

Valdo highlighted the importance of the initiative: “The deputy’s attitude is spectacular, recognizing the need to qualify the city’s young people and prepare them for an increasingly competitive job market”he concluded.
