the state representative Junior Favacho (MDB), President of the Committee on Agriculture and Supply (CAB) of the Legislative Assembly of Amapá (Alap), reinforced the importance of reducing the bureaucracy of environmental licensing in a meeting with representatives of the productive sector in the state and the governor Clecio Louis. The meeting took place at the Fazendinha Exhibition Park this Tuesday morning (22).

During the meeting, 34 terms of reference for environmental licensing in Amapá were presented, in addition to the elaboration of the Ecological and Economic Zoning (ZEE) and the transfer of federal lands to the state. The Secretariat for the Environment (Sema) released the results of the public consultation held in April this year, in which public bodies, research institutes, producers, technicians and the population in general were able to contribute to the preparation of legislation, resulting in an increase of 26 to 34 terms of reference.

CAB, under the presidency of Júnior Favacho, also played an active role in the public consultation, requesting an extension of the deadline for suggestions and proposing the creation of a computerized system to control the issuance of environmental licenses, initiatives welcomed by the state government.

The deputy pointed out that the commission aims to represent the productive sector, and the simplification of environmental licensing is a primordial demand for production in Amapá. Favacho praised the government’s open dialogue and the state’s evolution in agribusiness, strengthening producers of all sizes and generating jobs and income.

In addition, Júnior Favacho proposed the creation of a physical space to bring together the public bodies involved in environmental licensing, with a view to streamlining the process. The proposal, called Super Fácil do Agro, was formally presented to the state government.

Another topic discussed at the meeting was the regularization of land transferred by the federal government, aiming to give more legal security to rural producers. Governor Clécio Luís highlighted the importance of resolving this matter to stimulate economic growth in the state.

Economic Ecological Zoning

At the meeting, the governor also discussed the preparation of the new Economic Ecological Zoning of Amapá, which is being carried out by technicians from Iepa and should be shared with society by the end of the year, with a seminar planned for September. The event will be part of the program for the 52nd Expofeira do Amapá.
