Jiu-jitsu athlete from Amapá competes in the Pan-American Championship in Florida – News of Brazil

The Amapá fighter, Yuri Brito, 34 years old, will represent Brazil in the Pan-American Jiu-Jitsu Championship this Saturday, the 23rd, in Florida, in the United States.

“I’m confident for the fights. I trained a lot. We will certainly bring good results to the state of Amapá. It’s something very important for the next generations, for the children to come. Those who practice jiu-jitsu and who love the sport”he said.

Yuri is a professional Jiu-jitsu athlete, brown belt. The fighter is the 70kg featherweight champion, in the master category, held in September 2023, and Jungle Fight 40 (2012).

In addition to Yuri, the master Orlando Junior, who is a third degree black belt, the athlete from Amapá Marcia Karina, who lives in the United States, and the athlete Demis Barreto, all from the same team, GFteam Amapá.

“I am confident in bringing a medal, representing Amapá and Brazil. Children need good references”highlighted the athlete.
