During an interview last Sunday (25), Jair Bolsonaro (PL) highlighted that the trial is “political”

Brasilia DF) – Former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) classified the trial that runs at the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) as “politician” and could leave him ineligible for the next eight years. During an interview with Rádio Bandeirantes on Sunday (25), Bolsonaro admitted that “it will not be the end of the world” if he loses the action and cannot run for political office.

“It’s a political judgment, right? It wasn’t even to have received the action for having met with ambassadors. Hey, it’s a joke! And there is a case law from 2017, from the trial of the Dilma-Temer ticket, which simply ceased to exist now… for this new trial. This judgment of mine. So yeah… we’ll see what happens. I will not advance the result here, but it will not be the end of the world, no!”, highlighted the former leader of the Executive.

Bolsonaro also mentioned the acts of vandalism at Praça dos Três Poderes, in Brasília, and defended the investigation and punishment of those responsible for the depredation. Even so, the former president reinforced that his accusation of a coup is “fantasy”.

The interview was granted by the politician during a departure for a football match between Palmeiras and Botafogo, in São Paulo. At the stadium, Bolsonaro was received by voters and supporters in front of the box where he watched the game.
