Inter removes mascot accused of harassment by journalist at Gre-Nal

Internacional removed the employee responsible for the Saci mascot after the accusation of harassment made by journalist Gisele Kümpel on Sunday night (25).
WHAT HAPPENED
The journalist accused the mascot and registered a police report after the classic Gre-Nal 441, in Beira-Rio. According to her, the mascot hugged and kissed her without consent when celebrating Alan Patrick’s goal, which made the score 3-2 for Colorado.
In a statement, the club from Rio Grande do Sul said that it made the images from the stadium’s monitoring system available for the necessary purposes and that the employee is away from his activities for the duration of the process.
INTERNAL NOTE
Regarding the incident record involving the figure of the mascot Saci, Sport Club Internacional informs that it forwarded the images from its internal monitoring circuit to the Police Station responsible for investigating the episode.

For this reason, and awaiting the speedy resolution of the case, the employee responsible for the mascot and the Club itself will be at the disposal of the authorities. Until the procedure is completed, the employee will be removed from Saci’s representation.
Finally, Sport Club Internacional expresses its respect for the work of the entire press and repudiates any and all cases in which there is harassment or prejudiced expression.
