This Saturday (13), President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) underwent routine exams at Hospital Sírio Libanês, in São Paulo. The medical bulletin issued by the hospital’s director of Clinical Governance, Dr. Luiz Francisco Cardoso, reported that the tests revealed no changes. According to the note, the patient was accompanied by doctors Ana Helena Germoglio and Roberto Kalil Filho during his stay in the hospital.

Lula arrived in the capital of São Paulo last Friday (12). In addition to going to the Sírio Libanês hospital, the president came to São Paulo on an important weekend for the Workers’ Party’s definitions for the upcoming municipal elections. On Saturday (13) federal deputy Guilherme Boulos (Psol-SP) and former mayor Marta Suplicy (no party) met at a lunch that was also attended by federal deputy Rui Falcão (PT-SP), president of Constitution and Justice Committee of the Chamber of Deputies.

In the afternoon, there was also a meeting between state deputy Eduardo Suplicy (PT) and Guilherme Boulos (PSOL) to talk about Marta’s nomination as vice-president of the PSOL-PT ticket for São Paulo City Hall.

Although the press office of the Presidency of the Republic stated that the president is on a “private agenda” and there is no confirmation of his participation in the events, the political movement suggests a possible influence of Lula in the formation of an alliance.

According to information released by the G1 portal at the end of this Friday (12), Marta Suplicy’s re-affiliation to the party is scheduled for February 3, and the event will be attended by Lula. However, the PT press office did not confirm this information.
