In a statement to the PF, Torres says he considers the draft decree disposable

The former secretary of public security for the Federal District, Anderson Torres, said in a statement to the Federal Police, on Thursday (2), that he considers the draft decree for an intervention, found in his home, a totally disposable document and that he should have discarded the paper, but believes that it may have been placed on the shelf at his house by mistake of an employee, when tidying up the residence.

In the minutes of the deposition, which lasted approximately 10 hours, Torres also claims that the draft decree has no legal viability or any legal basis and that he has no idea who prepared it. “It highlights that technically the document is very bad, with errors in Portuguese, without legal basis, divorced from the ability of the assistants of the Ministry of Justice to produce the document; who does not know and has no idea who prepared this document”, said the former Minister of Justice in testimony.

Demonstrations did not indicate radical actions

When asked about the acts of vandalism on January 8, Torres again stated that the information he had received so far was that the demonstrations would not have radical actions. “Who, when asked if he had received information or an intelligence report about the demonstrations that would take place on January 8, replied that he received this information on the 6th, in the morning. That this information did not indicate radical actions.”

According to him, when he realized that all the security protocol for the day was adequate, he understood that he could continue with his vacation trip. Despite having traveled to Orlando (USA), the same city where former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) was, Torres guarantees that they did not meet and that it was just a coincidence.

“That the trip had nothing to do with Bolsonaro. That it did not suit him and that when the tickets were issued, he was not even aware that President Bolsonaro was going to the United States. That one did not know about the other’s trip and they did not meet”, shows the PF document.

Lost cell phone

Finally, the former minister reaffirms that he lost his cell phone. Despite ensuring that he brought the device from the United States, he says that he turned off the phone after his arrest was ordered and that, since then, he does not know where it is.

“Asked about the location of his cell phone, he said that he did not leave it in the United States, but lost it; that with the decree of his arrest in Brazil, he began to be sought after by an infinity of people, at which time he decided to turn off the cell phone ; who does not know where he is, but can provide the cloud password; who only uses his personal phone and all conversations are on that cell phone; who, if necessary, voluntarily undertakes to provide login and password”, he added.
