It occurred on the morning of this Monday, 13th, at Northern Palace, institutional visit by the directors of the National Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuel Agency (ANP), Daniel Maia Vieira and Cláudio Jorge. They were received by the governor Clécio Luís. Linked to the Ministry of Mines and Energy, the ANP has been the regulatory body for activities that integrate the oil, natural gas and biofuels industries in Brazil, since 1998.
“I will get it right. We are winning the internal battles to obtain authorization from Ibama for research and future oil and gas exploration. We are getting ahead of ourselves. We received with great honor the ANP, as well as directors who can put Amapá at the forefront of these issues, to train our staff”celebrated Clécio Luís.
One of the topics discussed at the meeting was the oil potential of the Amapá region. Furthermore, the ANP presented its strategy for encouraging research and innovation. The agency offers incentives to invest in projects, human resources development and entrepreneurship.
“We understand that there is a huge potential for finding oil here; Petrobras is working with Ibama trying to obtain environmental licensing. This meeting will be very good, we want to talk about the possibilities of this potential to generate a new ‘pre-salt’, and bring resources to the state, in royalties. Amapá has a great opportunity to enter the oil and gas era”he said Claudio Jorge, director of the ANP.
“We came here to show that the ANP’s work goes beyond studies related to the capacity for oil exploration on the equatorial margin; The agency also regulates the application of resources for development research and invocation. In 2022 there were more than four billion investments and PDI. Our objective is to show the region’s potential and objectives and its difficulties, and understand what the ANP can do to improve fundraising for the state”he said Daniel Maia, another director of the ANP.
