Federal deputy is willing to maintain a participatory mandate, focusing on the environmental agenda and the fight against corruption

Brasilia DF) – Elected federal deputy for Amazonas with 288,555 votes in 2022, Amom Mandel (Citizenship) was sworn in this Wednesday (1), in a ceremony at the Chamber of Deputies, in Brasília. A member of parliament for the 57th legislature, Mandel declared that the federal mandate will be based mainly on transparency, the fight against corruption and the defense of the environmental agenda for the development of the Amazon region, such as the carbon credit market.

“One of the main ideals that I carry in my mandate is popular participation, I use social networks as a way to legitimize this mandate, to have this direct contact with the population, in addition to, of course, maintaining a presence in the communities. Allied to this, transparency continues to be our north and the continuous struggle for the efficiency of the public service. I will honor all 288,000 votes I received from the Amazonian population”,

declared Amon.

For this year, the congressman declared that he will launch the “Mobile Office”, a proposal to reinforce the participative mandate. Said Cabinet will be in the form of a personalized van, which will travel through the communities of Amazonas to carry out consultations, meetings, accountability actions and transport volunteers for social actions, with the differential of bringing Wifi to the communities during visits.

Another novelty is the Shared Cabinet, a kind of technical cooperation, in which parliamentarians share advisors, but still maintain an independent role during their respective mandates. For Amom Mandel, who will join the Cabinet starting this year, the expectation is that the environmental agenda will gain strength, especially for the North region, with the carbon credit market.

“I have the environmental issue as my main guidelines, especially now with the setting of the carbon credit market in Brazil, and also the issue of climate change. I also carry the issue of inspection, the 17 SDGs as a whole and the issue of efficiency with public money. I hope that together we can make a positive contribution to these and other important issues for our country”, he declared.
