The governor of Pará, Helder Barbalho, invited licensed deputy Yury do Paredão (CE) to join the MDB. He was expelled from the PL in July after the negative repercussions of a photo in which he appears making the “L” with his hand, a reference to President Lula (PT).
The conversation took place after Cristiano Zanin took office as minister of the STF (Federal Supreme Court), last Thursday (3). According to the governor’s interlocutors, the invitation was made with the knowledge of the party leadership.
The parliamentarian, who has been harassed by other parties, was to analyze the proposal.
Before President Valdemar Costa Neto decided to expel Yury, the deputy had already been criticized by colleagues in the PL for getting closer to the PT government and for voting in line with the Planalto in some texts.
