Helder Barbalho expresses support for Celso Sabino for Tourism

At an event in Pará with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, this Saturday (17), Governor Helder Barbalho (MDB-PA) took a public stand for the appointment of the federal deputy Celso Sabino (União-PA) for the Ministry of Tourism.

During the official ceremony of Belém as the headquarters of the UN (United Nations) COP30 climate change conference, the governor said that one more minister from Pará on the Esplanada would strengthen the state.

“If this is your decision, Celso will represent all of us, together with Minister Jader (Filho, das Cidades) so that Pará can be strengthened in our society”, said Barbalho, reporting to President Lula.

After the ceremony, Lula, Barbalho and Sabino had lunch together.

Quoted to take the place of the current Minister of Tourism, Daniela Carneiroalso from União, Celso Sabino has the support of the party’s deputies to take office.

Daniela has been in the hot seat since she started an internal fight with the Union to change parties. She tries in the Electoral Justice to migrate to the Republicans without losing her mandate for party infidelity.

For Lula, who last Tuesday (13) gave the minister in office a survival, Sabino’s appointment could mean more support within the Union – and, consequently, the Centrão, since Celso Sabino is close to Arthur Lira (PP-AL ).
