Minister Fernando Haddad and members of the Ministry of Finance are going to meet with representatives of the Open Society this Friday afternoon (5), in São Paulo. The foundation is led by billionaire George Soros and develops projects in the areas of climate change, decriminalization of drugs, promotion of the LGBT agenda and promotion of more radical agendas of the black movement, among others.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the meeting will discuss the elaboration of an ecological transition plan, and will have the participation of Pedro Abramovay, executive director of Open Society for Latin America and the Caribbean, and Laura Carvalho, global director of equity at foundation.

A recent survey by the People’s Gazette shows that the Open Society transferred R$ 107.2 million to non-governmental organizations operating in Brazil. Some of them raise progressive flags and produce reports and surveys that are later used to support decisions by the three powers.
