The governor of Amapá, Clecio Luis, continues with the office installed at Hospital de Emergências Dr. Oswaldo Cruz, center of the capital. On the morning of this Tuesday (31), the manager monitored the improvements made in the HE. The works of the new entrance are already 85% ready.

“We have all the advanced services and the new reception is already in the finishing phase with coating, painting and installing light bulbs. Very soon this work will be delivered to Amapá”highlighted the governor.

Work on the new front of the Hospital de Emergências began in the first week of management. Since then, the new entrance has been completely rebuilt with a new floor, access ramps, walls with cement plates, new ceiling, ceiling, electrical system, gutters, accessibility and a new flow of people.

“Before, everyone entered through the same door and this allowed the spread of diseases in the hospital environment. With the new entrance, we will reduce this: cars with patients and pedestrians must enter through one side and ambulances will enter through another door already included in the project”detailed the Secretary of State for Health, Silvana Vedovelli.

Currently, more than 30 people are working on completing the work. Landscaping services are being completed, placement of lamps, sockets and switches, wall cladding, painting, removal of rubble, placement of the new facade and visual identity of the space.

New reception from HE

The new reception will have increased capacity and will be able to receive more than 40 people comfortably, there will be four simultaneous appointments upon arrival to receive patients and perform the classification based on the Manchester Protocol.

“The big differential here at the reception will be the flow. Before, the stretchers and chairs passed through the middle of the reception in the corridor. This will now have a new flow and will run down the inner corridor in an orderly fashion with the correct flow.”explained to Vedovelli.

The forecast of State government is to finalize all services by the end of this week.

Construction

The works continue within the HE on two fronts: on the ground floor and on the upper floor. The work fronts carry out renovations in the wards and other hospital rooms.

To date, more than 20 spaces have been renovated, including wards, medication rooms, dressing room, laboratory reception and collection room, in addition to bathrooms and restrooms for medical and nursing teams.

Since the beginning of the works, in addition to the physical part, new air units have already been installed, lamps have been installed, gutter replacement services have been carried out, windows have been installed, water fountains have been installed, televisions, new chairs, a sound system for patients and identification through Manchester Protocol wristbands.
