On the morning of this Wednesday, the 31st, governor Clécio Luís transferred R$7.2 million to social entities operating in Macapá and Santana, through ‘Acolher Amapá’, the state’s largest assistance program. The appeal is the result of an amendment by senator Randolfe Rodrigues.
Regarding the agenda, Aline Gurgel, head of the Social Assistance department, spoke exclusively on the Ponto de Encontro program (Diário FM 90.9). The secretary celebrated the transfer and highlighted that the resources will be used mainly to improve the infrastructure of support homes and purchase of household appliances, in order to improve user reception.
“Acolher Amapá is a program that welcomes users of assistance and we reach users directly, with benefits, through city halls, municipal assistance departments, but also through social assistance entities, which play an important role in our state” , informed Aline.
Among the institutions benefiting are Abrigo São José, Amapá Association for the Support of Patients in Treatment Outside the Home (TFD), Educandário Dom Alexandre (Lar Betânia), Associação A Nossa Família Casa Abrigo Fátima Diniz, Associação Casa Padre Luigi Brusadelli and Associação Casa of Hospitality.
“They are children, people with disabilities, the elderly, children with cerebral palsy, through the work that these institutions carry out. We were able to understand their needs and realized how much they need to be strengthened through federal resources”, said the manager of the Social Assistance portfolio.
With the transfer, the expectation is to guarantee the strengthening of the quality of services provided by institutions that perform fundamental work in welcoming vulnerable people.
“These houses have existed for a long time, but they lacked important equipment, such as mattresses and washing machines. This resource comes to equip these homes that welcome Amapá residents and even people from the island of Pará with quality”, concluded Aline
