Government receives Conmebol delegation for technical evaluation of Arena da Amazônia

The inspection aimed to evaluate the structure of the stadium for international competitions
Manaus (AM) – The Government of Amazonas, through the State Secretariat for Sports and Leisure (Sedel), received, this Saturday (24), a delegation from the South American Football Confederation (Conmebol) and technicians from the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) to a technical visit to the Arena da Amazônia with the aim of assessing the structure of the stadium to host international matches for clubs and the Brazilian national team.
Sedel’s secretary, Jorge Oliveira, emphasized that the Arena da Amazônia is ready to host competitions due to the expertise of major international events already held at the stadium.
“Once again, the Government of Amazonas opens the doors for entertainment and high-performance sports, especially our Brazilian team, which is our national pride, to come to Manaus again. And this vision of President Rozenha, together with Conmebol and the CBF, that this is the home of the Amazon teams, is very important because it integrates the country into the Amazon, as well as the vision of sustainability; Here in Amazonas we are indeed prepared to host major events, especially our Brazilian team”

The president of the Amazon Football Federation (FAF), state deputy Ednailson Rozenha, highlighted the work carried out by the state government for the preparation of international events. “Felipe Restrepo’s presence is the result of a personal effort by Governor Wilson Lima to further value the Amazon in the international context”.
The manager of Conmebol, Felipe Restrepo, carried out the technical inspection of the structural part, on the field and in the adaptations of the Arena da Amazônia. “We are going to check the technical situation of the Arena, carry out an official audit, and based on this audit, make decisions”.
