The government of São Paulo declared in a note released this Saturday (10) that the management of the menu at the Palácio dos Bandeirantes restaurants is the responsibility of a third-party company.

The demonstration took place after the Panel disclosed that there had been changes in the calendar of dishes at the government headquarters in recent days, which caused strangeness among local officials.

The feijoada, which is normally served on Wednesdays in São Paulo, has been changed to Fridays, as is often the case in Rio de Janeiro, the birthplace of Governor Tarcísio de Freitas, and in Brasília, where several servants of the State Executive came from. In addition, the turn to paulista changed from Monday to Wednesday.

“Management of the restaurants at Palácio Bandeirantes, including menu management and commercial strategy, is the responsibility of the company Santa Helena Comida, regularly hired through bidding, with the Civil House secretary responsible for overseeing the contract”, says the note.

The government stated that the outsourced company has freedom and is responsible for the meal that will be served on each day of the week, as long as it meets all the requirements of the contract.

“Therefore, the menu of the units is prepared and defined exclusively by the company’s team of nutritionists, who have a contractual obligation to offer diners daily balanced and nutritionally complete meal options”, adds the note.

The government also stated that Tarcísio has no knowledge or interference in the restaurant’s menu.

The governor also claims that he started to receive attacks and hate messages for supposedly having changed the day on which the feijoada would be served.
