Manaus (AM) – The Government of Amazonas began paying, this Monday (18), the second installment of the 13th salary of state employees in groups 1 and 2. This Tuesday (19), payment will be made to the other employees, who make part of group 3. More than 120 thousand employees, including active employees, retirees and pensioners, will receive the benefit, which should inject R$660 million into the local economy.

For Governor Wilson Lima, compliance with payments should generate a positive impact on revenue, boost the economy and boost commerce.

“With this measure, in addition to honoring our commitment to employees, we are boosting the economy. This is a very important period, especially for commerce due to the end of year festivities”,

said the governor.

The Secretary of State for Finance, Alex Del Giglio, also spoke about the injection of resources into the local economy.

“The injection of these resources into the economy will contribute to the economic boost in several sectors, such as commercial, industrial and services, which has a positive impact on economic activity and the strengthening of tax revenue”,

said the secretary.

The first to receive are employees from groups 1 and 2, including retirees, pensioners, firefighters, employees from the capital and the interior of Health and Education, employees from the interior of the State Department of Finance (Sefaz), Institute of Agricultural and Forestry Development Sustainable Development of the State of Amazonas (Idam).

Employees of the State Secretariat for Rural Production (Sepror), State Superintendence of Navigation, Ports and Waterways (SNPH), University of the State of Amazonas (UEA), State Secretariat for Penitentiary Administration (Seap), Agricultural and Forestry Defense Agency of State of Amazonas (Adaf) and Military Police of Amazonas (PMAM) are also part of the first groups.
Fernando Cardoso, lieutenant of the Military Police, spoke about the arrival of the second installment of the 13th salary. “This advance is very important to organize ourselves financially, and for those who have children, it is already a help when purchasing school supplies”, said the lieutenant.

Calendar

The first installment of the 13th salary for state public servants was paid on May 11th and 12th, and injected more than R$350 million into the Amazon economy.

Payment of the second installment of the 13th salary of active and inactive state public servants occurs before the deadline established by law (Law No. 4,749, of August 12, 1965), which is December 20.

Furthermore, the December salary will be brought forward and credited to the account on the 21st and 22nd of this month, as announced by Governor Wilson Lima.

Adding the second installment of the 13th (R$660 million) with the December monthly payroll (R$824 million), the Government of Amazonas will pay, at the end of the year, more than R$1.4 billion to state public employees .
