The CPI of the Legislative Chamber of the Federal District, which investigates the acts of vandalism on January 8, defined this Tuesday (4th), the dates for the testimonies of 7 of the 24 summoned to provide information. Among those investigated are General Augusto Heleno, a former minister of the GSI, and chief José Acácio Serere Xavante, whose arrest led to violent protests in Brasília in December. Heleno must testify on the 4th of May, and Serere, on the 25th.

Also scheduled is the testimony of General Gustavo Henrique Dutra de Menezes (May 18), former military commander of the Planalto; Colonel Fábio Augusto Vieira (5/11), former PM commander; as well as the undersecretary for Integrated Operations, Colonel Cíntia Queiroz de Castro (4/27). And also the businessmen Adauto Lúcio Mesquita (13/4) and Joveci Andrade (19/4), appointed as supposed financiers of the acts.

The CPI tried to hear former Minister of Justice Anderson Torres, but the testimony has already been postponed twice. On March 16, the ex-minister’s defense said that he will not attend the CPI. Torres has been imprisoned since mid-January this year at the 4th Battalion of the Military Police, in Guará II, and has been investigated for alleged omission in criminal acts against the headquarters of the Three Powers on January 8.

The session that approved the call for new names was marked by disagreement between the parliamentarians who are part of the collegiate, and it was defined that they will follow only one testimony per day.
