Gabriel Souza participates in footwear fair in São Paulo

Acting governor of Rio Grande do Sul, Gabriel Souza (MDB) participated in the opening of the 49th International Footwear, Leather Goods and Fashion Accessories Fair (Couromoda), in São Paulo, this Monday (16). The event, which runs until Wednesday (18), brings together foreign buyers and shopkeepers from all over Brazil, with emphasis on Rio Grande do Sul. In addition to the stands of the major brands in Rio Grande do Sul, there is Estação Moda RS, a SebraeRS initiative that encompasses 15 companies (25% increase compared to the last edition) and has the support of the state government.
Gabriel visited the stands accompanied by the mayor of Novo Hamburgo, Fátima Daudt (MDB), the president of the Commercial, Industrial and Services Association of Novo Hamburgo, Campo Bom and Estância Velha, Diogo Leuck, and the secretary of Economic Development, Ernani Polo ( PP). “I made a point of bringing my hug, on behalf of Governor Eduardo Leite, and strengthening the government’s support for the segment. Our presence at the fair symbolizes recognition and commitment to any public policies that may contribute to the development and promotion of the economy in the sector”, highlighted the acting governor.
The emedebista recalled that Rio Grande do Sul is the state that most exports shoes in total value in dollars and the second place in number of pairs made. “The leather-footwear sector is a source of pride for all of us, with its differentiated and extremely high quality products”, he emphasized.
During the afternoon, Gabriel discussed the issue of early childhood during his schedules in the city of São Paulo. The agenda took place on the same day that the decree formalizing the creation of the Coordination Office for Special Programs and Projects in the State was published.
