Gabigol and Nino are denounced and will be tried by the STJD for expulsion in Fla-Flu – News of Brazil

The Superior Court of Sports Justice (STJD) denounced the Flamengo striker, Gabigol, and the Fluminense defender, Nino, due to expulsion in the derby between the teams on November 11th, which ended in a 1-1 draw at Maracanã. The trial will take place on Tuesday (5) and the pair could be left out of the last round.
In the case of the tricolor defender, if suspended, it would little change the planning of Flu’s technical committee. The team captain should not be on the field in the duel against Grêmio, a day later, at Maracanã, in the last round of Series A of the Brazilian Championship. The tendency is for Fernando Diniz to use an alternative team.
Gabigol could be an important absence in the confrontation with São Paulo, at Morumbi. This is because, despite being a reserve, Flamengo still has chances of winning the Brazilian title, in addition to being in a fight for the G4 of the competition, which guarantees a place in the group stage of the Copa Libertadores, in 2024.
Gabigol was included in three articles of the Brazilian Code of Sports Justice (CBJD): 250, which talks about “performing an unfair or hostile act during the match” and provides for a penalty of suspension of one to three games; 258, §2, item II, which talks about “disrespecting the members of the refereeing team, or disrespectfully complaining about their decisions” and provides for suspension of one to six games; and 184, which speaks in cases of “two or more infractions, the penalties apply cumulatively”.
Nino, on the other hand, was included in the same article 250 of the CBJD, which talks about “performing an unfair or hostile act during the match” and provides for a suspension of one to three games. Both have already served one game of automatic suspension due to the card.
