Architecture and Urbanism is one of the 14 courses offered by Faculdade Santa Teresa

This month, the Architecture and Urban Planning course at Faculdade Santa Teresa was evaluated by the Ministry of Education (MEC), receiving a grade of 4, considered an excellent result. It is the third positive evaluation of the courses offered by the institution in recent months.

To evaluate courses, the MEC takes into account criteria such as pedagogical design, qualifications of teaching staff and administrative technicians, physical facilities, student performance and satisfaction and social responsibility.

“We are very happy with the positive evaluations of our courses by the MEC, because it demonstrates that our strategy and commitment are on the right path, to transform lives through education”,

highlights the institution’s supporter, Maria do Carmo Seffair.

“Once again we are receiving validation of everyone’s efforts to offer quality education”, he reinforces.

Architecture and Urbanism is one of the 14 courses offered by Faculdade Santa Teresa. It aims to train urban architects with a generalist profile. Through the articulation of teaching, research and extension, the course aims to place professionals on the market capable of understanding and translating the needs related to the design, organization and construction of interior and exterior space.

“Our proposal is to train professionals of technical excellence, without losing connection with the elements of local culture, conservation and appreciation of heritage and the balance of the natural environment”,

highlights the course coordinator, José Augusto Bessa.

“The Architecture and Urban Planning course, as well as other FST degrees, also focus on preparing students for entrepreneurship and innovation”, he concludes.

Other reviews

In the months of September and October, two other courses at Faculdade Santa Teresa were evaluated with the maximum score (5) by the MEC: Administration and Law. The grades recognized the excellence of the courses and position the institution as providing high quality education.

In the opinion of the general director of FST, Amanda Estald, the MEC evaluation is an important indicator that must be observed for those who wish to enter a degree, because it certifies that there is a qualified teaching staff, a broad and modern structure and aligned with a project pedagogical.
