After a 3-2 victory in normal time, the Santa Felicidade team, led by the experienced Ary Marques, got the better of the penalty shootout, in a clash that had two players highlighted by Paraná Clube: goalkeeper Rodolfo32 years old, and the attacker Rodrigo Pimpão36.
Pimpão, ex-Tricolor, Vasco and Botafogo, was responsible for scoring in the 20th minute of the second half, in a beautiful volley, the turning goal, after the hosts, led by Ivo Petry, opening 2-0 on the scoreboard. The goal took the decision to a penalty shootout.
It was then that Rodolfo, another child from Vila Capanema and former Athletico and Fluminense player, was decisive in saving two opponent penalties and helping Trieste win the 14th title in the history of the state’s main amateur competition.
“I motivated them a lot, our team suffered a lot with the first defeat. But Tuesday and Thursday in our training, we kept pushing. We conceded two goals here in the first half, we scored even more, but we didn’t stop fight”, celebrated Rodolfo, in an interview with TV FPF.
