Former members of Odebrecht’s bribery list extol Toffoli’s decision

After the publication of the decision of the minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Dias Toffoli, who annulled all the evidence against Lula from the leniency agreement of the construction company Odebrecht, several parliamentarians and former parliamentarians accused of being part of the famous list of bribes by the construction company took to social media to celebrate the decision.

The list was widely reported by newspapers in 2017, after the documents were delivered to the Federal Public Ministry (MPF) by the whistleblower Luiz Eduardo Soares, who worked in the Structured Operations Sector, as the company’s department that took care of bribe payments was called. .

Listed on the Odebrecht spreadsheet under the codenames “ugly” and “cute”, deputy Lindbergh Farias (PT-RJ) said that “Moro and Dallagnol will pay for their crimes against Brazil and democracy”.

In today’s decision, in addition to annulling the evidence, Toffoli also determined the investigation of responsibility of the former members of Lava Jato for eventual punishment, which includes the former prosecutor and former deputy, Deltan Dallagnol, and the former judge, Sergio Moro.

Former deputy Manuela d’Ávila (PCdoB) said that Minister Toffoli only recognized and made public what they (the left) “already knew”. In 2017, Manuela appeared on the Odebrecht list under the code name “plane”.

Senator Humberto Costa (PT-PE), who became known as “Drácula” in the list of bribes, mocked the former Lava Jato judge: “The farce collapsed”.

For the national president of the PT, deputy Gleisi Hoffmann (PT-PR), Toffoli’s decision was “exemplary”. Gleisi was identified on the contractor’s list with the codenames “lover” and “thigh”.

Senator Renan Calheiros (MDB-AL), called an “athlete” on the same list, said that Lava Jato was a “legal ambush to criminalize politics”. Calheiros also said he was a victim of “the persecutory rage”.

Former deputy Eduardo Cunha (PTB-SP) went to social media to call Moro a “fake judge” and demand punishment from former members of Lava Jato. Cunha was listed at Odebrecht as a “crab”.

Deputy Maria do Rosário (PT-RS), who appeared on the list with the nickname “soluçao”, considered Toffoli’s decision as a “symbolic fact” that will supposedly help in the “reconstruction of Brazil”.

The leader of the government in the Senate, Randolfe Rodrigues (AP), said that Toffoli’s decision confirms Lula’s version of the accusations.

The leader of the Senate opposition, Rogério Marinho (PL-RN), said that it is necessary to resist “historical revisionism” and that the country has become “the Homeland of narratives and relative democracy”.

“Are public figures above good and evil? Do the powerful always win? We cannot accept situations like this. The unquestionable fact is that Petrobras became the most indebted company in the world at the end of 2015. What happened cannot be erased with just a court decision”, said the senator.
