Fitdance class encourages the public at the 52nd Expofeira do Amapá to do physical activities – News of Brazil

To entertain the public that was strolling through the “Amapá 80 anos” space, the State Government promoted a fitdance class that left no one standing still during the 52nd Expofeira, which takes place at the Fazendinha Exhibition Park, in Macapá.
The class attracted an unexpected audience, such as Maynara Maciel, who was exhibiting her work at the fair and took advantage of some free time to dance and exercise. Having already taken fitdance classes, the 23-year-old already knew all the steps.
“Fitdance in my life is wonderful, we have fun, we meet new people. It’s really cool that he’s present here at Expofeira, because it brings more people to this practice and more people discover themselves in this activity”declared Maynara.
The initiative is part of the Sports Festival of the State Secretariat for Sports and Leisure (Sedel) and was carried out in partnership with the Energy gym and sought to make the population exercise and stimulate interest in physical activity.
“The role of fitdance at the Sedel Sports Festival is to bring leisure to the population. Therefore, we innovated by creating this program here at the Amapá 80 anos stand to attract public attention. It’s also a warm-up for Léo Santana’s show on Sunday”joked the Secretary of Sports and Leisure, Rudney Cunha.
The choreographies attract women and men. Ebertt Lima, who came from the municipality of Afuá, in Pará, just to visit Expofeira for the first time, and was surprised by the presentation, which is one of his great passions.
“I think dance is very important in the world, it brings many benefits to both the mind and the body and it is for everyone, be it men, women and both young people and more experienced people”reinforced the young man.
Fitdance has as its main advantages the possibility of performing physical exercise with fun and music. As one of the class instructors, Pâmela Correa, explains, who has been working with this activity for a year.
“In addition to well-being for those who practice it, fitdance brings a series of improvements to health and self-esteem. In fact, dancing can work as therapy, because it brings this playful side too”said the instructor.
