There are more than nine thousand registered for this first window; two more are planned by the end of the year

Manaus (AM) – The period for carrying out the first window of the Electronic Exam 2024 began this Wednesday (21), by the State Department of Education and School Sports. With four application points in Manaus, the laboratories will receive, until May 31st, around 9 thousand registrants.

The electronic exam is part of the Youth and Adult Education (EJA) activity calendar, and is aimed at those seeking to regularize their studies and obtain certification of completion of Basic Education.

The Electronic Test system has been used by the Secretariat since 2009, and allows students to carry out an electronic assessment, in which they can choose answer options directly on the computer and obtain the immediate result of the test. For 2024, two other editions of Provão are planned, in the months of June and September.

“We started applications today, but we emphasize that we still have vacancies at state schools Eliana Pacheco Braga and Padre Luís Ruas. The student simply needs to show up and request the application. It is an important opportunity to complete this process and seek a better quality of life. This first mobilization will last until the end of May. The state offers three mobilizations this year, in the capital”,

highlighted the coordinator of the Specific Educational Assistance and Diversity Management (Gaeed), Kátia Mendes.

The application of the Electronic Provão in Manaus, until the month of May, takes place at the Amazonas Education Institute (IEA), in the center of the capital; State School (EE) Pe. Luís Ruas, East Zone; EE Eliana Pacheco Braga, North Zone and EE Solon de Lucena, in the Center-South Zone.

Interior

As for the municipalities in the interior of Amazonas, the start of the first mobilization is scheduled for next March. The objective will be to reach 30 municipalities by the end of the year, with around 3 thousand students served.

The first municipalities in the interior confirmed to receive the Electronic Provão in 2024 are: Manacapuru (68 kilometers away from Manaus), Parintins (369 kilometers away), Itacoatiara (176 kilometers away) and Tefé (523 kilometers away).

First applications

On this first day of application, the flow of students was intense in the locations provided by the Department of Education. At EE Pe. Luís Ruas, for example, more than 190 students took the Electronic Exam this Wednesday (21). The school, which receives students in the morning, afternoon and evening, was the test site for Rerika Almeida, an EJA student.

Rerika, now 34 years old, said that she had to leave her studies while still in elementary school, due to the birth of her first child. Today, she is trying to complete high school through Provão.

“I had a child at a very young age and continuing my studies with a child to look after is very difficult. Years later, through EJA, I completed Elementary and now I want to finish Middle. Provão is faster, more viable, for people who work, who are housewives. My dream is to go to higher education, study law”, shared Rerika.

Also immersed in the assessment routine, the unit’s teaching teacher, Rosely Araújo, reassures candidates who are going to take the Provão. In all teaching units, the Department of Education always provides a representative to assist students.

“We have older students who don’t know how to use the tool and we are here for that. The flow of students is intense today and should remain that way for the next few weeks. We help in whatever way possible, so that everything goes smoothly”, highlighted Rosely.
