Manaus City Hall released, this Tuesday (21), the preliminary results of the University Scholarship Program (PBU) 2024, coordinated by the School of Public Service and Socio-educational Inclusion (Espi), a body linked to the Municipal Secretariat of Administration, Planning and Management (Semad). In this first call, 18,794 candidates were classified and each selected candidate must present the documentation indicated in the notice, from 18 to 20/12, from 8 am to 3 pm, at the Higher Education Institution (HEI) for which they were selected.
The list with the results can be consulted on the Candidate Portal, through the link and, from 10pm this Tuesday (21st), in the Official Gazette of the Municipality (DOM).
During the announcement, the head of Semad, Ebenezer Bezerra, highlighted that the city hall’s socio-educational inclusion programs have undergone improvement.
“It is another successful program under the administration of Mayor David Almeida, who understands the importance of professional qualifications. This is an opportunity that the city hall offers to those people who could hardly afford the costs of higher education. The job market is increasingly demanding and graduation is the first step in preparing for a job”,
In total, 50,841 people signed up to compete for more than 34 thousand scholarships with discounts of 50%, 75% and 100% offered for this process. According to the list, 25,756 remained on the reserve register and will be able to compete for 50% scholarships in the relocation of vacancies, the period of which will open at 10 am, on 12/26, closing at 2 pm, on January 2, 2024. Another 6,291 were eliminated, but they may present an appeal to Espi, within the deadline established in the notice.
“It is very important that all interested parties carefully read the notice that is available on the Espi portal. It contains all the detailed information, with dates and times for each stage and/or process, whether for the presentation of resources or for guidance on relocation”,
advised the general director of Espi, Júnior Nunes.
