Film ‘Monster’ premieres in the capital of Amazonas; see where to watch

Directed by Hirokazu Kore-eda, ‘Monster’ arrives in the capital’s cinema after debuting in Brazilian cinemas in November 2023. The work received the award for Best Screenplay at the 2023 Cannes Festival.

The film portrays a family drama with touches of suspense in the story. The story shows the drama of Saori (Sakura Ando), a mother suspicious of the strange behaviors that her son has recently started to display. As we follow the unfolding of this mystery from three different points of view, the truth begins, little by little, to emerge.

The production arrives at cinemas in Manaus, through the Centro Cultural Casarão de Ideias. The first screening of the film will take place this Thursday (15th), at 5pm.
