Two investigations were initiated by the Rio Grande do Sul Civil Police to investigate the behavior of the Internacional fan who, carrying a child on his lap, invaded the Beira-Rio lawn to fight at the end of the game against Caxias, on Sunday night (26), for the semifinals of the Campeonato Gaúcho.

At the end of the match, which ended with Inter’s disqualification due to penalties, the 33-year-old entered the field with his 3-year-old daughter on his lap and kicked the player Dudu Mandai, who was celebrating his place in the final, from behind. After being restrained by security guards and athletes from Caxias, he even attacked an RBS TV cameraman.

The fan left the stadium without being detained by the authorities.

The man’s identity is being omitted in respect of the Child and Adolescent Statute, so that the girl’s identity is also preserved. It is known that he lives in Canoas, in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre, was a member of Inter and a member of an organized crowd.

In the criminal sphere, the fan will be liable for “submitting his daughter to embarrassment and embarrassment”, which is punishable by six months to two years in prison. According to delegate Sabrina Teixeira, from the 2nd DPCA (Delegation for the Protection of Children and Adolescents) in Porto Alegre, the police want to investigate the circumstances in which the girl ended up at a soccer game in the area of ​​organized supporters.

The second inquiry was opened at the 2nd Police Station of the Civil Police, where the cameraman Gabriel Bolfoni recorded the occurrence, and are in charge of the delegate Vinícius Nahan. According to him, the investigation is of the crime of light bodily injury and will not cover attacks on Caxias players – unless they represent against the fan.

Because the family resides in the municipality, the case mobilized the 2nd Public Prosecutor’s Office of Canoas, responsible for the area of ​​childhood and youth. According to prosecutor João Paulo Fontoura de Medeiros, the Public Prosecutor’s Office will first check whether the child’s parents are fully aware of the seriousness of the case and whether the child is currently at risk.

Depending on the case, the MP can seek protective measures and activate the Tutelary Council. According to the general coordinator of the tutelary councils of Canoas, Flávia Gonçalves, the agency’s employees already know the region where the man resides and that the child is under the mother’s care, but the council has not been officially summoned to take any action.
