FAF and Government of Amapá renew partnership for Amapá football in 2024 – News of Brazil

This Tuesday (31), at the Palácio do Setentrião, the Amapá Football Federation (FAF) met with the Governor of Amapá, Clécio Luis, some directors of sports leagues and club presidents, to present the football competition calendar to the state manager.
The Federation also renewed its partnership with the State to promote and professionalize Amapá clubs and youth categories, as a way of valuing Amapá sport. “This year was a very productive experience for Amapá football. Of course we want to improve. I received the project for the championship in 2024 and we will do our best to encourage our athletes. There is a lot of work ahead and we will support Amapá football”said the governor, Clécio Luis.
The new competition calendar brings some significant changes, such as changing the date of the State Championship, due to conflicts with the national calendar and the inclusion of Series B of the Amapaense Professional Football Championship.
The president of the FAF, Netto Góes, highlighted the importance of state support in competitions. “We want to thank the governor for his support for this year’s competitions (2023) and we are already looking at the 2024 calendar with lots of news and good things. All of this will be possible with the support of the state and we saw the governor’s sensitivity in responding to the requests of the FAF and the clubs”he said.
The 2024 competition calendar seeks to provide a variety of opportunities for athletes of all ages and skill levels. With the entry of Series B and the continuation of successful competitions, the year promises to be very promising for football in Amapá.
