Positive evaluation will allow the City Council to maintain international quality and environmental management seals

After a week of analyzing procedures related to the management of processes and actions aimed at the environment, the Manaus City Council (CMM) was approved, this Friday (29), by an external audit. The person responsible for the evaluation recommended the House’s recertification for ISO 9001 and 14001 standards, international qualification seals.

The work began last Monday (25), led by an external auditor from Rina Brasil, a certification body that provides classification, certification, inspection and testing services. The professional visited the House’s departments to evaluate management methods, in addition to providing guidance that complies with the Integrated Management System (SGI).

CMM’s Strategic Planning coordinator, Camila Bertolini, highlights that the result of the audit is a union of efforts. She points out that despite the change in management and part of the servers, the commitment of employees was essential for maintaining the seals.

“We take courses, the employees are engaged, they participate in these actions daily, from the selective collection of solid waste used in the workplace to compliance with process management. It is a reason for praise for all of us servers”, stated the coordinator.

Audit

The recommendation to maintain certifications was announced during a closing meeting attended by directors, internal auditors and City Council employees. The information was passed on by Rina Brasil’s external auditor, José Brito, who cited positive points observed in the evaluation.

“We noticed this commitment in relation to the procedures of the servers, practicing selective collection, managing its environmental aspects and impacts. Within our sampling, it was possible to verify everything we needed to see to, in the end, reach the conclusion that the City Council should be recommended for certification”, he stated.

The external audit report that recommends the seals will be sent to the technical area of ​​Rina Brasil. The certificate must be issued within 40 days.
