Party has special offers on national and international beer labels, show, meat tasting and conversation with two beer experts

Manaus (AM) – Brazilians love a beer. It is no surprise that it ranks third in world consumption, with more than 14.5 thousand kiloliters per year, an average of 69.7 liters per person. It’s also no surprise that Oktoberfest has become a rage here and is present on the tourist calendar in several Brazilian states and municipalities.

The party is also a traditional event in Pátio Gourmet’s calendar. This year, it continues until Sunday (29), with special offers on national and international beer labels, a show, meat tasting and conversations with two beer experts.

“Beer consumers are a significant part of our clientele and we always strive to have a wide range of labels in our stores, including national and imported brands, to suit all tastes. And Oktoberfest has already become a tradition at Pátio Gourmet”,

says Marketing coordinator, Fabiana Cavalcante.

As part of the program, Saturday (28), at the Djalma Batista Avenue unit, there will be a show by the band Offical 80, a meat tasting from the 1953 brand, with Daniel Anzoategui and a chat with beer sommelier Rafael Almeida, guest of Pátio Gourmet, together with the house sommelier, Alexsander de Oliveira. The conversation menu will contain important tips for drinking the drink and its pairings. Alexsander will also present some of the wine labels available at the Pátio wine cellar.

“We are going to talk about some curiosities, about the typical foods of this festival, tips on beers that harmonize with the classic and typical dishes of our region”,

says Rafael Almeida.

With alcohol, alcohol-free, gluten-free, artisanal or industrialized, consumer requirements for beer consumption in Brazil follow global trends. Around the world, the consumption of Zero or Low Alcohol beer grew by 3% and in Brazil it closed 2022 with an increase of 2.5%. According to data from Euromonitor International, by the end of 2023, 480 million liters of this type of beer should be consumed in Brazil, representing a growth of 24% compared to the previous year. The consumption of gluten-free beers has also been increasing, especially craft beers.

“We will also talk about these different beer options that have their own characteristics and cater to specific tastes”,

says Rafael.

Rafael Almeida Machado, the guest at Pátio Gourmet, has a degree in gastronomy, is a professional brewer, a professional taster, a beer sommelier, and specializes in pairing food with drinks and using it as an ingredient in the preparation of sweet and savory dishes.

What is Oktoberfest – It is a beer festival that originated in Munich, Germany, and spread to several countries, including Brazil, where it has already become a traditional party, as a product fair and fun.
