Estado and TJAP make working hours more flexible on game days for the Brazilian women’s team in the World Cup – News of Brazil

The Presidency of the Court of Justice of Amapá (TJAP) established, through a new Ordinance, the special working regime on the occasion of the matches of the Brazilian Women’s Football Team in the 2023 World Cup in Australia.
The Ordinance makes compliance with this special day more flexible (on July 24, 2023, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm; and on August 2, 2023, from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm) allowing the exercise of the regular hours (from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm or from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm) by permanent employees or holders of commissioned positions and positions of trust , upon agreement with the respective immediate superiors.
The regulation, however, maintains the operation exclusively in the form of shifts defined by the Presidency and the Internal Affairs Department of Justice, from the end of the special working day (respectively 6:00 pm on 07/24 and 19:00 on 08/02).

The governor of Amapá, Clécio Luís, signed Decree Nº 6563, which changes the office hours in state public offices on match days for the Brazilian National Team in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The first two matches for the Brazilian team will take place on Monday, the 24th, at 8am, and the 2nd of August, at 7am (Brasília time). See what the office looks like on these dates:
- On days when the games take place until 7:30 am, the working hours start at 11 am;
- On days when the games take place at 8:00 am, the working hours start at 12:00 pm.
The measure was adopted by the Executive so that servers and users can follow the participation of the Brazilian team in the biggest competition in women’s football, which takes place in Australia, until August 20th.
“When there’s a men’s soccer World Cup, we adapt our schedule to allow people to watch the games without worrying so much about commitments. This year, the Women’s World Cup will be the most watched, the most disputed of all time. Out of respect for Brazilian women, we are going to do the same thing”, commented, Clécio Luís.
The change in office hours does not impact bodies where activities are considered essential, such as health and public safety services.
