This Wednesday (6), when participating in a hearing at the Chamber’s Financial Inspection and Control Commission (CFFC) on human rights violations of 8/1 prisoners, lawyer Tiago Pavinatto said that he will present to the Chamber’s Board of Directors a request of impeachment against the minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Alexandre de Moraes.

The alleged reason is negligence, or negligence, in relation to the death of businessman Cleriston Pereira, a prisoner from 8/1 who died in Papuda after having several warnings about his health condition ignored by the minister.

“A request has also been filed with the PGR (Attorney General’s Office), because it is the PGR that can denounce minister Alexandre for common crimes, for committing three crimes in a formal competition that could sentence him from 10 to 31 years. in prison […] Even if he is not convicted, a complaint was made and then we can confirm that there is a corporatism that protects itself […] Either we arrest Alexandre de Moraes or he arrests Brazil”, said Pavinatto.

Clezão’s family, as businessman Cleriston Pereira was called by those close to him, also participated in the hearing.

Presided over by federal deputy Bia Kicis (PL-DF), the hearing was called to hear lawyers and families of prisoners from 8/1 who have denounced violations of the prisoners’ human rights and defense prerogatives throughout the accusatory process against those investigated for the acts of vandalism.

At the same hearing, deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) demanded “courage” to face the abuses of the Judiciary, questioned the “dialogue” strategy adopted by the right and said that “there are no legal means of combating tyranny”.
