Manaus (AM) – This Friday (8), International Women’s Day, the Literatus Teaching Center offers a series of free services and educational lectures focused on women’s health, well-being and professional training. The event will be held from 9am to 1pm, at the headquarters of the National Employment System (Sine Amazonas), located at Avenida Djalma Batista, 1,018, Chapada neighborhood.

Among the services offered are blood pressure measurement, body mass index (BMI) calculation, skin cleaning and relaxing massage. Three informative lectures will also be held, covering topics such as guidance on Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), family planning and guidance on breast cancer.

For those who wish to take the rapid STI test, 40 places will be available, and it will be necessary to present an official identity document and SUS card. The lectures and services will be led by teachers and students from the Literatus Teaching Center courses.

The pedagogical coordinator of Literatus, Ericka Pacheco, highlights that the event was designed to promote interaction between the institution and the community, in addition to promoting women’s professional training, providing autonomy and combating gender inequalities. “We believe that education is a powerful tool to empower women and open doors to new opportunities in the job market”, she points out.

In addition to activities focused on health and professional training, the event will also showcase the technical courses offered by Literatus, which include Administration, Clinical Analysis, Automation, Accounting, Nursing, Aesthetics, Logistics, Radiology, Workplace Safety, among others.
