Federal deputy André Janones (Avante-MG) was accused by two former advisors of asking for part of the team’s salary for his own benefit, a practice known as “rachadinha”.
Cefas Luiz Paulino and Fabrício Ferreira de Oliveira allege that not only did the parliamentarian ask team members to hand over part of their salaries, but also that he himself implemented this illicit conduct. According to Oliveira, Janones requested payment in cash.
After the audio became public, Janones admitted that he was the one speaking in the recording, but called it clandestine and criminal.
