Manaus (AM) — Deputy Mário César Filho presented to the Board of Directors of the Legislative Assembly, request n° 3132, which indicates to the state government the creation of a minimum salary for journalists and broadcasters in Amazonas.

For Mário, the purpose of the proposal is to ensure that journalists and broadcasters in Amazonas are protected in terms of remuneration higher than the unified national minimum wage.
“This nomination to the state government seeks to bring justice to the valued journalism and radio professionals in Amazonas. Well, being a journalist or broadcaster is not simply writing, but informing society ethically”

The project establishes two salary ranges, for graduated professionals and for those benefited by the previous decision of the Superior Federal Court (STF). In addition, the requirement provides for an additional fee for professionals who work night shifts.
