Manaus (AM) – State deputy Thiago Abrahim (União Brasil) sent requests to the city halls of the 62 municipalities in Amazonas for the construction of an inclusive park. The idea is that the place can welcome and integrate groups that make up minorities, mainly autistic, black, indigenous and PWD children.

“Social inclusion is the act of integrating groups of people excluded from the socialization context. We can also mention people who are affected by social vulnerability, such as people with low income, homeless people and homeless people. It is important that these people have a welcoming and leisure space. Inclusion policies reflect the guarantee of access for all people to all opportunities, regardless of the aspects of each individual or social group”, said Abrahim.

According to the proposal, the environment must be adapted for wheelchair users and other people with disabilities. The inclusive park will also feature activities to encourage children with reduced mobility.

“The inclusive park should have adapted toys such as seesaws, ramps and swings with accessibility for wheelchair users. It is also possible to play games for motor development, stimulating muscles, bones and psychological stimulation for children”, explained the parliamentarian.

The subject aims to develop a more accessible leisure environment for everyone, which allows children to get to know and closely monitor the development of others and, from this coexistence, have a view of empathy for others.
