Alap approves bills against dengue, encouraging livestock farming and music – News of Brazil

During the last ordinary session of the week, held this Thursday, 4th, the Legislative Assembly of Amapá (Alap) approved several parliamentary initiative projects. Among the initiatives, bill nº 0020/24, by deputy Pastor Oliveira (Republicans), which establishes the Annual Campaign to Combat Dengue in the State of Amapá.

The campaign will be carried out during the period of highest incidence of dengue, to be defined by the State Department of Health (Sesa). “The establishment of the campaign is essential to intensify measures to prevent, control and eradicate these diseases (dengue, zika and chikungunya), protecting the health and well-being of the population of Amapá”justified the author.

According to data from the Notifiable Diseases Information System (Sinan), Amapá occupies 6th position in the national ranking of dengue cases in 2024. At the beginning of the year, the State recorded a 493% increase in cases of the disease compared to the same period in 2023.

Another proposal that was approved by the plenary was signed by the deputy Jesus Pontes (PDT). The matter, number 0321/23, declares the Association of Animal Breeders of Amapá to be of Public Utility (Acriap). As stated in the project’s justification, the association, created on June 16, 2016, aims to bring together livestock farmers in the state of Amapá, encouraging the creation, preservation, selection and exchange of livestock breeders of any breed and origin. for economic exploration, as well as supporting and defending, before other government entities or bodies and private individuals, the interests and aspirations of its members.

The deputy’s proposal also received the approval of the deputies Rodolfo Vale (PCdoB). The text filed with the Legislature, under number 0332/23, establishes the State Day of Popular Music in Amapá (MPA) in the state, to be celebrated annually on May 14th. The choice of this date is a tribute to the day on which the Amapá singer Patrícia Bastos won the awards for Best Album and Best Singer, in the Regional Category, at the 25th Brazilian Music Awards. The date will become part of the Official State Events calendar. “To implement the provisions contained in this Law, the State Public Power may enter into partnerships with non-profit entities and institutions that deal with the topic, with the aim of promoting campaigns and events to publicize Amapaense Popular Music”added the deputy.

Parliamentarians approved Legislative Decree Project No. 0010/2024, authored by the president of the House, deputy Alliny Serrão (União), which grants the title of Amapá Citizen to business administrators Lucas Brochado Zepf. The project’s justification for the honor highlights Zepf’s professional experience in the public administration of Amapá, where he worked as a planning and budget analyst, institutional development advisor for the State Secretariat for Administration, state health advisor and is currently director of Budget and Finances of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Amapá.

Finally, the plenary approved Motion of Applause nº 0090/24, authored by deputy Roberto Góes (União). The text pays homage to the neurosurgeon Isaias Fiuza Cabral for the relevant work provided to Amapá society. Graduated in medicine from the Serra dos Órgãos Educational Foundation (FESO-Brazil), professor of the medicine course at Unifap, with a medical residency in Neurosurgery at the University Hospital Pedro Ernesto (Uerj Fellowship), specialist in skull base surgery in Tubingen (Germany) and oncological neurosurgery in Dresden, his name is frequent in bibliographical citations.

All other matters were approved in the first phase of discussion and voting.
