Manaus (AM) – State deputy Thiago Abrahim (União Brasil) requested the state government, through requests, to build blood centers in the municipalities of Itacoatiara, Parintins, Nhamundá, Maués and Silves.

“The health of our interior is still lacking. We need to have this differentiated look and contribute to bringing about the improvements that the population so badly needs. It is important that the interior has the support of a hemonucleus. These units aim to preserve the health of candidates for donation and also that of patients who will receive the transfusion”,

Abraham said.

The Hemonuclei are decentralized units of the Foundation Center for Hematology and Hemotherapy of Amazonas (Hemoam), which are located in the interior of the state, and have all the necessary structure to carry out laboratory tests of low and medium complexity, blood collection, diagnosis, fractionation and blood transfusion, among others.

According to the proposals presented by the parliamentarian, the Hemonúcleos would strengthen the blood network in the municipalities of Amazonas, in addition to facilitating access to services, preventing patients and donors from having to travel to the capital.

“We need to seek to reduce the bureaucracy of services more and more. The construction of these units in the interior will expand the offer of services offered by Hemoam, in addition to decentralizing some services currently carried out exclusively in Manaus”,

Abraham concluded.
