Proposal had already been presented by Deputy Fausto Jr. in the year 2022
State deputy Débora Menezes (PL) presented a bill already known in the Legislative Assembly of Amazonas (AM), which prohibits vulgar music in educational institutions in Amazonas. The project is similar to what was already presented by the then state deputy Fausto Jr. (UB), in the year 2022.
The proposal of Bill No. 719/2023, by the parliamentarian, prohibits songs of a vexatious or discriminatory nature that expose women or adolescents, the simulation of libidinous acts, so that they are not performed at events and festivities held in teaching units.
In an interview with Portal AM1, Debora scored “It will be up to the public bodies appointed by the Executive, in partnership with the State Secretariat for Justice, Human Rights and Citizenship (Sejusc), to supervise and apply the appropriate sanctions provided for in said legislation”.
A proposal in the same scope in the Legislative Assembly in the State of Maranhão (ALEMA) was approved by parliamentarians, in which it prohibits songs with lyrics of sexual content or apology for crime in schools.
In Salvador (BA), a law was enacted that prohibits the broadcasting of music that devalues, encourages violence or exposes women to situations of embarrassment in municipal schools and kindergartens in the city.
