State deputy Guilherme Cortez (PSOL) asked the TCE (State Court of Auditors) to investigate the contract of the Government of São Paulo with the unenforceability of bidding with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), an agency linked to the World Bank.
The government will pay BRL 71,291,893.17, in an agreement valid for two years and the possibility of being renewed for the same period, and the company will provide consultancy in the privatization of CPTM train lines.
IFC also carries out a consultancy for the privatization of Sabesp. The Tarcísio de Freitas administration (Republicans) did not inform the value of the contract for the Sabesp project. In a published material fact, Sabesp only said that there was waiver of bidding for contracting the specialized service.
In a note on Friday (14), the press office of the Secretariat for Partnerships in Investments states that IFC has “recognized performance in the sector of modeling public sector partnerships with the private sector in several countries and with vast experience in structuring of a large infrastructure enterprise”.
