Deputies intend to carry out the “March to Brasília” to talk to the ministers of Environment and Transport about unblocking the asphalting of the interstate

Manaus (AM) — The BR-319 highway turned 48 years old, on Wednesday (27), and, to mark the date, deputy João Luiz (Republicans) mentioned that a “Letter of Intent” was drawn up in the Amazon Parliament, together with others parliamentarians, to be forwarded to the Working Group of the Chamber of Deputies. He also revealed that deputies from the North region intend to carry out the “March to Brasília”, to talk to the ministers of Environment and Transport about unblocking the asphalting of the interstate.

“We cannot let this issue fall into oblivion. We will address the topic BR-319 in the Amazonas Legislative Assembly. We have seen the Working Group in the Federal Chamber and intend to send the ‘Letter of Intent’. We were on the highway, where we heard demands from residents, workers and people who travel the highway every day. This dream needs to become reality,”

said deputy João Luiz.

The parliamentarian highlights that Governor Wilson Lima made the State available for the reconstruction of the federal highway.

In February this year, with more than 690 kilometers traveled by car between Manaus and the municipality of Humaitá, deputy João Luiz carried out an extensive agenda on BR-319, which connects Amazonas to Rondônia. The parliamentarian highlighted that the objective of the trip was to listen to the demands of residents and highway workers.

João Luiz also delivered materials (flour house kits, brushcutters, generators and others) to farmers, protection kits for motorcycle taxi drivers and the Basic Health Unit, visited works at the Elderly Support House and the 4th Peloton Mirim Program Military Police Battalion, in Humaitá, the result of parliamentary amendments.

Last year, the parliamentarian sent, through the Board of Directors of the Legislative Assembly, Request No. 5274/2023 to Governor Wilson Lima, where he indicated the formal implementation of the request for inclusion of the paving of BR-319, in the Program of Growth Acceleration (PAC).

Through Request No. 4721/2023, the republican made, in October last year, a Motion of Repudiation to the statements made by the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Marina Silva, which indicate impediments to the paving of BR-319 and due to the lack of sensitivity towards the people of Amazonas.

João Luiz also forwarded Request No. 6240/2021, to the Amazonas Management Committee of the Luz para Todos Program, so that the possibility of including the Realidade community, located at KM 100, on Rodovia BR-319, could be verified. , in Humaitá.

In 2023, the republican was in the Realidade District, to deliver a backhoe, the result of a parliamentary amendment, together with the senator from Amazonas, Plínio Valério.

Throughout his term at Aleam, the parliamentarian allocated parliamentary amendments, indicatives, requirements for health, education, indigenous causes, culture and other areas of municipalities and communities, which run along BR-319.
