Deltan, Barroso and former BBBs participate in an event about Brazil in the USA – 04/03/2024 – Panel

Former Lava Jato prosecutor and impeached federal deputy Deltan Dallagnol will participate in a conversation about challenges and perspectives in the fight against corruption at the Brazil Conference, an event organized by Brazilian students from Harvard and MIT, which takes place this Saturday (6) and Sunday (7) in Cambridge (USA).

Also on the event’s agenda are philosopher Michael Sandel and political scientist Steven Levitsky, who will speak with STF minister Luís Roberto Barroso about populism, democracy and the role of the Supreme Courts.

Minister Luiz Fux, in turn, participates in a panel together with the Union’s attorney general, Jorge Messias, and attorney general Paulo Gonet, among other names, on the use of artificial intelligence by the Judiciary.

The agenda also includes the presence of former BBBs Juliette Freire, Gil do Vigor and Jade Picon. From the entertainment field, Ivete Sangalo, Luciano Huck and Jorge Aragão should also participate.

The program also includes minister Sonia Guajajara (Indigenous Peoples), governors Helder Barbalho (Pará) and Raquel Lyra (Pernambuco), the mayor of Recife, João Campos, and the pre-candidate for Mayor of São Paulo Tabata Amaral.

In the business world, billionaire Jorge Paulo Lemann, whose foundation is one of the main sponsors of the meeting, is the main name. Other major supporters of the event are the digital bank Nomad, the Master bank, YouTube and iFood.

This is the tenth edition of the Brazil Conference, an annual event about the country that usually brings together academics, politicians and businesspeople on the campuses of the prestigious Harvard and MIT. According to the organization, 1,200 participants are expected this year – tickets are sold out. There is online transmission.
