Manaus (AM) – Manaus City Hall has extended until next Monday (6), the registration deadline to compete for the more than 34 thousand scholarships made available by the School of Public Service and Socio-educational Inclusion (Espi), linked to the Municipal Secretariat of Administration, Planning and Management (Semad), for the 2024 University Scholarship Program. The measure is to ensure broad access for interested parties, due to the extended All Souls’ Day holiday (2).
The city advises candidates who, for some reason, have not yet completed their registration, to access the link again to complete the process, allowing them to participate in the selection. The scholarships are for 74 higher-level courses, 38 of which are Bachelor’s degrees, 6 are Bachelor’s degrees and 30 are technological courses in 15 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the private network.
Registration is free and no fees are charged. To participate, the candidate must be Brazilian, born or naturalized, residing in Manaus, with a per capita family income (per person in the family) not exceeding one and a half minimum wages, and be regularly enrolled or able to enroll in one of the Institutions Higher Education (HEI) partners of the Program.
The candidate must also have completed high school or equivalent (or completed it by 12/31/2023) and not have a higher education diploma or be enrolled in a public HEI. Furthermore, beneficiaries of a degree program maintained by the public authorities or the private sector cannot participate.
