Elections 2024

In a survey carried out with 2 thousand people, the mayor remains in the lead for re-election

Manaus (AM) – The fourth survey on the election for Manaus City Hall by the company Perspectiva – Market e Opinião shows that current mayor David Almeida (Avante) leads with 31.4% of voting intentions, while federal deputy Amom Mandel (Cidadania) is in second place, with 27.1%.

Released last Thursday (2), the survey was carried out with 2 thousand interviewees between October 25th and 31st. In total, 12 possible candidates are counted.

The evolution of voting intentions demonstrates stability, with few variations and remains within the margin of error, since the first survey carried out in December 2022.

Mayor David Almeida and federal deputy Amom Mandel maintain a balanced number of voting intentions, followed by Coronel Menezes (PL), with 7%, and state deputy and president of the State Legislative Assembly (Aleam), Roberto Cidade (União Brazil), with 4%.

In this research, another name also stands out: Roberto Cidade. The state deputy with the most votes in history, has advanced significantly since the last survey and is tied with Arthur Neto (PSDB) and Captain Alberto Neto (PL). This is the candidate tipped to possibly receive support from Governor Wilson Lima (União Brasil).

Management approval

According to the Instituo Projeta survey, released in October, David Almeida’s administration received 80% approval. The numbers point to a positive scenario for the growing increase in voting intentions for the current mayor.

In the survey, there was a reduction in the rejection percentage of this management, decreasing from 7.72%, in June, to 7.40%. While for second place in the voting intention ranking, Amom Mandel, the number doubled, going from 4.23% to 7.67%.
