Mayor of Manaus discusses new investments that help develop the sector in the capital of Amazonas

Manaus (AM) – The mayor of Manaus, David Almeida, received, this Tuesday afternoon (16), at the City Cooperation Center (CCC), in the Adrianópolis neighborhood, South Central Zone, representatives of the two-wheel pole of the Free Zone of Manaus (ZFM) to study new investments that help develop the sector in the Amazonian capital.

Among those present were the president of the Brazilian Association of Motorcycle, Moped, Scooter, Bicycle and Similar Manufacturers (Abraciclo) and the executive director of Institutional Relations for Honda in Brazil, Marcos Bentos, and the vice president of Abraciclo and president of Caloi, Cyro Gazola.

“It is always a pleasure to welcome Marcos and Cyro, who are partners with the City of Manaus, for a conversation and to discuss new investments for our city. In our management, we always seek intelligent solutions to the problems we encounter in Manaus, such as, for example, the construction of the new Ponta Negra bike path, which will start later this month and will encourage the practice of sports. This work and the complete recovery of the roads in the Industrial District were praised by the sector. I am certain that this exchange of ideas will only result in good results for Manaus”,

said Almeida.

President of Caloi and one of the main Brazilian references in the two-wheel industry, Cyro Gazola made a point of highlighting the investments made by the municipal administration to expand the city’s bicycle infrastructure, thus resulting in new opportunities for commuting and leisure for the population.

“It is a pleasure to be here with our team, rescuing conversations with Mayor David Almeida that we had over a year ago, and I am happy to see the expansion of the bike structure in Manaus. It is an opportunity for the entire population of Manaus, as this structure allows leisure, travel and interaction with families. In addition, the mayor indicated that he has the opportunity to expand these bike paths to other areas, in addition to Ponta Negra. So, we left here happy to see this opportunity that will be greatly recognized by the entire Manaus community”,

emphasized Gazola.

It is worth noting that the two-wheeled polo is one of the flagships of the ZFM. According to Abraciclo, in the first quarter of this year alone, the bicycle industry installed in the Industrial Pole produced almost 135,000 units.
