Datena says ‘scoundrel’ leaked video with Boulos – 03/04/2023 – Panel

The presenter José Luiz Datena attributed to “scoundrels” with vile intent the leak of a video of his conversation with Guilherme Boulos (PSOL) in which he suggests to the federal deputy that he “combat” President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT).

Speaking during the program “Brasil Urgente”, which he presents on TV Bandeirantes, Datena denied that he had asked Boulos to be vice-president on his ticket, despite what the video shows.

“I didn’t ask to be vice-president of anything. He [Boulos] there is an agreement with the PT, which happens to be President Lula’s party, for the vice president to be his. I just said that if he wants a composition with me, he has to talk to Lula”. A ticket with Boulos, Datena said in the program, would be “very strong”.

Datena said he was invited by Boulos to a talk about amenities at his house, which lasted four or five hours. And he said he was outraged by the leak of a small section that talks about politics.

“I find it strange that a conversation like that leaks. Whoever leaked it is a scoundrel, without scruples, it was a private conversation”, he said. Datena stated that she was sure that Boulos was not the one who spread the content, and said that she also bears no responsibility in the episode.

Datena also tried to soften the statement that she doesn’t know if Lula “holds the mandate” until the end. “I’m interested in Lula finishing his term, I’m on the same plane as him”.
