Federal deputy Deltan Dallagnol (Podemos-PR) will be heard by the Federal Police (PF) this Monday morning (5), as summoned, to provide clarification on statements given to the press, in which he would have criticized the court’s decision election to revoke his mandate.

By seven votes to zero, the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) considered that the parliamentarian failed to comply with the Clean Record Law by asking for dismissal from office to avoid a possible Disciplinary Administrative Proceeding (PAD). The legislation provides for ineligibility for MP members who leave the institution while responding to a PAD. When Dallagnol resigned as prosecutor in 2021, there was no such lawsuit pending against him.

The subpoena received by the deputy did not clarify the conditions under which he would be heard, and also did not obey the prerogatives of the parliamentarian, who could set a time and date for the hearing, and therefore it was rescheduled from last Friday to today, at the request of the Dallagnol defense. The deposition is scheduled for 11 am, and will be held by videoconference.

Dallagnol presented a written defense to the Chamber of Deputies Internal Affairs last Tuesday (30) and the expectation is that the Corregidor will deliver his assessment to the Board of Directors of the House in the coming days. At the same time, Dallagnol filed an appeal against the revocation of his mandate to the Federal Supreme Court (STF). The rapporteur will be Minister Dias Toffoli.
