President Figueiredo (AM) – The mayor of Presidente Figueiredo, Patrícia Lopes, announced the 31st Cupuaçu Festival and the 25th Agroindustry, Business and Creative Economy Fair, which will take place in “Terra das Cachoeiras” (125 kilometers from Manaus), on the 28th, 29th and 30th July, a national quintet, chosen among the favorite artists of Figueiredo: Joelma, Natan, Leo Magalhaes, Tarcísio do Acordeom and DJ May Seven.

The disclosure of the national attractions of the event was made by the municipal secretary of Culture and Events of Presidente Figueiredo, Zandem Ferreira, on the night of this Saturday (17), during the “warm up” of the event, in Praça da Vitória, when the choice of the Queen took place. Pre-teen and the finalists of the Rainha do Cupuaçu 2023 contest. The musical attractions of the night were DJs Pedro Diaz and Laila Abreu, Grupo Frente de Casa, and Uendel Pinheiro.

“The choice of Mayor Patrícia Lopes was made with the objective of attracting the public, to move the economy of our municipality, local commerce, tourist trade, the segments of the creative economy and, of course, to provide quality and safe entertainment to our population. Patrícia Lopes was keen to point out that both the 31st Cupuaçu Festival and the 25th Agroindustry, Business and Creative Economy Fair are investments in the sustainable development of the municipality. “These events not only bring fun and entertainment to the population, but also promote the economic development of the municipality, generating jobs and opportunities for everyone,” she said.

Secretary Zandem Ferreira explained that the national quintet will still be joined by regional attractions and artists from Figueiredo, names that are still being defined, according to the vacancies on the agenda.

“It will be a program, following the determination of our mayor to value and honor Figueiredo artists, as we have done at +Mais Cultura. Our art and culture will be on the stages of the Cupuaçu Festival, in Praça da Vitória and in Parque Urubuí”,

Queen of Cupuaçu

Although the publicizing of the national attractions was the main attraction of the “heat up”, the public that filled Praça da Vitória had another equally important reason: to root for the candidates of the Rainha do Cupuaçu contest, the final of the pre-teen category and the semifinal of the main category.

More than 3,000 people, residents of the headquarters and rural communities along BR 174, such as the Paulista (km 180), Rumo Certo (km 165), Canoas (km 139), Jardim Floresta (km 126), São Miguel ( Km 50) and Morena (Km 23), the latter from the AM 240 (Estrada de Balbina). With banners, posters, hand props and making a lot of noise, to draw the judges’ attention to their candidates.

In the pre-teen category, which debuted in this edition, after the seven candidates paraded in typical and formal attire, the winner was Kerolly Cristina, resident of the Novo Rumo community (km 165 of BR 174), representative of Corredeira do Urubuí, who obtained 200 judges’ points. The runner-up, elected Princess, with 119.9 points, was Maria Eduarda Nascimento, who represented the Natal waterfall; and third place, 118.7 points, elected Miss Simpatia, was Maria Eduarda Miller, who represented, in the parade, Cachoeira Berro D’Água.

The 12 finalists in the main category, chosen from among the 14 candidates who walked the runway, in formal attire and bathing suits, were Aldelice Silva (Cachoeira Berro D’água), Amanda Beatriz (Cachoeira da Porteira), Ana Beatriz (Cachoeira Calango Azul), Ana Carolina (Balneário Abraço Verde), Ester Moraes (Waterfall of Iracema), Gabrielem Miranda (Lagoa Cristalina), Giovanna Viana (Corredeira Água Viva), Kamille Vitória (Waterfall of Onça), Letícia da Conceição (Waterfall of Orchids), Lillye Cibele ( Natal Waterfall), Mayara de Almeida (Corredeira do Urubuí) and Sâmela Souza (Waterfall of Asframa).

The gathering at Praça da Vitória for the “warm up” of the 31st Cupuaçu Festival and the 25th Agroindústria, Business and Creative Economy Fair began around 7 pm, and the public was welcomed by DJ Pedro Diaz and, subsequently, by Grupo Frente de Casa, two attractions, genuinely from Figueiredo.

After the pageant candidates’ parade, while the judges gathered to tally the scores and give verdicts for the night’s two disputes, DJ Laila led the party and, after the result, Uendel Pinheiro closed with a golden key.
